Type Locality and Naming
By the village of Seslavino (now Duababa), Daunytau city, Talassky Alatau range. O.I. Sergun'kova in the In the early 1930s (382, pp. 62–63).
Synonym: Seslevinian Suite, Сеславинская св.
Lithology and Thickness
Organogenic-detrital, nodular-detrital, organogenic limestones with rare nodules and lenses of flint, interlayers of clayey, sandy, dolomitized limestones. Thickness from 70 to 500 m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Conformably overlies the Koykebiltau Fm
Upper contact
Conformably overlain by the Yakhak Fm or Surkhat Fm
Regional extent
Western part of the Talassky Alatau, Ugamsky, and Pskemsky ranges. I.M. Nigmadzhanov includes the Seslavin Fm in the upper part of the Naualin Fm (460).
